What's the Cooling Principle of Huifeng's TENV Stainless Steel IP69K Motors

TENV (Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated) motors rely on passive heat dissipation through the motor’s external surfaces. Unlike TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) motors, they have no cooling fan or vents, making them ideal for dirty/wet environments.

 

How It Works

  1. Internal Heat Transfer

    • Copper windings transfer heat to the frame via direct metal-to-metal contact.

  2. External Heat Dissipation

    • The enlarged housing acts as a “heat sink” – heat radiates naturally to ambient air.

    • In Huifeng stainless steel motors:
      →Stainless steel doesn’t conduct heat well. To keep our motors cooler, Huifeng uses the low losses electromagnetic design and excellent process that create less heat.
      → Lack of fan/fan cover eliminates dust traps, improving thermal uniformity.
