1. Silent operation
No fan noise: TENV only generates electromagnetic noise, without noise from fan cooling, suitable for:
- Hospital/laboratory equipment
- Office air conditioning system

2. Compact structure
The motor is without fan and fan cover, suitable for the equipment that has limit of motor length.
3. Less maintenance
Fans are common failure points for motors (bearing wear, blade breakage), TENV completely avoids such problems and increases life by more than 30%.
Limit of TENV motor
1. Limited Heat Dissipation
It is cooled only by its own shell and air convection, without an extra fan to cool down. Due to insufficient heat dissipation capacity, the output power is usually limited to ≤3HP (2.2KW) on a 56 frame.
2. Higher cost
Since there is no fan for heat dissipation, in order to reduce the temperature rise of the motor, achieve thermal balance, more laminations and copper wires can be used in the design. Therefore, the motor price is higher, usually 20%-30% more expensive than the TEFC motor of the same power.
